Penaud returns to Brive

Brive, recently relegated from the top flight in France received some good news on Wednesday when Alain Penaud announced his return to the club.

The former test fly half left Brive in 1998 to join English club Saracens, and subsequently spent the last season with Toulouse.

The club has recently sacked coaches Serge Larle and Jean-Francois Thiot after they finished third from bottom of pool 2 of the top French league.

In contrast Penaud's old club, Toulouse, play in the semi-finals of the French championship on Saturday against Lyon They have also already found a replacement for Penaud by signing David Aucagne from Pau.
