Fresh start for Wales
June 4, 2001

Wales will field a completely changed side for Wednesday's game against a Japanese Select side following Sunday's disappointing defeat by Suntory.

Captain Andy Moore will start in the second row where Craig Quinnell, who has recovered from the knee injury that kept him from Sunday's game, will partner him.

There is also a place for flanker Nathan Budgett - now recovered from an ankle injury suffered getting out of the jacuzzi at the team's hotel.

"The result against Suntory showed everyone at home how strong and powerful Japanese rugby is," said assistant coach Leigh Jones. "We had difficulty with the weather and referee's interpretation, but the extra couple of days training should have allowed the players to adapt better. None of us was happy with Sunday's result and we now need to win on Wednesday," he added.
