Wales have named three new caps for Sunday's first Test against Japan in Osaka.

Bridgend centre Adrian Durston and Bath flankers Gavin Thomas and Andy Lloyd will all make their first international starts.

Meanwhile after yesterday's 33-22 win over a Japan Select XV Lee Jarvis is hoping to come out of the international wilderness before the end of the tour after slotting over four penalties and three conversions at the Nagai Stadium -but then saw Llanelli's Stephen Jones win the selectors vote for this weekend's first Test match.

"My aim at the start of this season was to get on the tour and now I am here I want to push for a place in the side against Japan," Jarvis told the Western Mail.

"I am still only 24 and have been enjoying my rugby more than ever and really enjoyed the run out yesterday.

"I haven't played for two months since the Wales A game against Italy for one reason or another and I just wanted to play.

"All the boys are keen to impress the coaching staff out here and it was good to get the first win on tour under our belts."
