Perry in late change for Lions
June 22, 2001

England fullback Matt Perry is a late change to the Lions bench for Saturday night's clash against the Waratahs at the Sydney Football Stadium.
Perry replaces England winger Ben Cohen, with Lions manager Donal Lenihan saying that Perry provided better all-round cover in the backs than Cohen. Late on Thursday, the Lions lost starting winger Dan Luger for the remainder of the tour due to a fractured cheekbone.

Meanwhile, a sell-out crowd of around 40,000 is expected for the game with the remaining 400 tickets selling quickly on Friday morning.

It is the first sell-out of the Lions' tour of Australia, which has seen matches played to big crowds in Perth, Townsville, Brisbane and Gosford.

The game is also likely to break another record for the biggest attendance at a provincial match in Australia. That record currently stands at 35,366 for the Citibank Waratahs versus Queensland Reds match during this year's Super 12 season.
