Paul cleared for Lions Test
June 29, 2001

Wallaby hooker Jeremy Paul was cleared for Saturday's first Test against the British and Irish Lions after twisting his ankle at training on Friday.

Wallaby coach Rod Macqueen said Paul, injured during the final training run, had responded positively to physiotherapy.

Paul was given a warning by his former Wallaby front row partner Dan Crowley about Lions' hooker Keith Wood.

"Keith Wood is the type of player who will test you right from the start," Crowley said. "The front row has to put its head down early to get some parity and it might even get the upper hand." - Sapa-AFP
