Dowd set for Wasps

Former All Black prop Craig Dowd is set join London Wasps for their forthcoming Zurich Premiership campaign.

Dowd, 31, was omitted from the Auckland NPC squad named last week, and was reportedly negotiating with several British clubs.

The move will bring to an end an eleven year career with the Auckland Rugby Union. Dowd says the decision to leave was a tough one but he had some encouraging support from his old union and was grateful to the NZRFU for allowing him to go.
