Rain changes Bok plans
July 20, 2001

The Springbok squad will relocate to Durban next week to prepare for the Vodacom Tri-Nations test against Australia taking place at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria on July 28.

The squad had originally planned to remain in the Cape next week, before flying to Pretoria shortly before the Test.

According to SARFU, the decision has been taken in light of the recent heavy rains in the Cape, which has made underfoot conditions difficult and unstable during training sessions.

Team Commercial Manager Butch Watson Smith said that the intention remained for the team to prepare at the coast, hence the move to Durban.

The team will take a charter flight on Sunday afternoon and is expected to travel to Pretoria on the afternoon of Friday 27 July.
