Harris signature imminent
August 9, 2001

Iestyn Harris' move from Super League's Leeds Rhinos to Cardiff will be completed by tomorrow morning.

Breaking away fomr on-going contractual negotiations the Welsh Rugby Union chairman, Glanmor Griffiths, told BBC Wales that, "we are currently finalising the documentation, it is very complex, we've got lawyers acting for the Welsh Rugby Union, for Cardiff, for Leeds Rhinos and for Iestyn himself.

"But we have finalised the details over the last few hours and I'm hoping that very shortly all the documentation will be signed. If it is not signed this evening it certainly will be signed by tomorrow morning (Friday)."

The news follows the decision of fellow League star Keiron Cunningham earlier this week to remain in the 13-man code, with St Helens, instead of taking up a similar lucrative offer from the WRU.
