New locks installed at Glasgow
August 13, 2001

Glasgow Rugby's two new lock forwards, Nathan Ross and Andy Hall, are in the squad for the match against Northampton Saints at Hughenden tomorrow evening.

Ross, the 6ft 9in Australian, gave up a banking job in Brisbane to take up a two-year contract with Glasgow.

Hall has enlisted with the professional team after establishing himself in the Scotland under-19 and under-21 while he was with the English club, Moseley.

Glasgow's squad also includes two club props, Gordon Sykes, from Ayr, and Ben Prescott, from Aberdeen Grammar.

Sykes, who played as a replacement in Glasgow's match against Newcastle Falcons on Friday, and Prescott are brought in in the absence of David Hilton and Gordon McIlwham.

Hilton and Jason White could not be considered for the squad for tomorrow because of leg knocks in the Newcastle match.

"We're hopeful they will be available for the Celtic League match in Dublin," Richie Dixon, Glasgow Rugby's head coach, said today.

Glasgow open their Celtic League programme with a visit to Dublin to play against Leinster at Donnybrook on Friday evening.

Admission to tomorrow's match will be free. The kick-off will be at 7.30. Glasgow's squad:
