O'Gara not risked in Celtic opener

Lions tourist Ronan O'Gara is set to miss Munster's opening round of Celtic League matches after missing pre-season training.

The Irish fly-half who was the victim of that notorious attack by Waratah's full back Duncan McRae during the Lions tour, will be replaced by Jason Holland.

Despite his treatment at the hands of McRae O'Gara actually opted to remain in Australia after the tour to holiday and Munster coach Declan Kidney has decided he would be too big a gamble.

Munster are due to play Edinburgh on Friday night in the first fixtures in the newly established Celtic League.

Connacht, have named former Leinster utility player Mark McHugh on the centres in their team for their Celtic League clash with Cardiff .
