Caerphilly sign Greenslade-Jones
August 16, 2001

Welsh/Scottish and Celtic League side Caerphilly have completed the signing of Gloucester's Rory Greenslade-Jones.

The move is a return to the country of his birth for Greenslade-Jones who played at his home town club Pontypridd before Gloucester.

He still lives in the country and was thought to be finding the travelling to Gloucester too much.

The Parachute Regiment solider will not be making his debut for his new club this Saturday against Neath.

He joins Tongan international Tauna'holo Taufahema as the second of this week's signings by the Cheesmen.

Caerphilly are to investigate the apparent signing by Welsh National League Division Four side Resolven of former Neath and Bristol prop Leighton Gerrard.

The club says it agreed a deal with Gerrard in the Summer and had a contract with him. He had told the club that he may be limited by his work as a miner and may not be able to train all that regularly.
