Viljoen gutted

Springbok coach Harry Viljoen can't help but feel disappointed after Saturday's 14-all Tri-Nations draw with Australia in Perth.

"Somehow I feel gutted," pronounced Viljoen after the game. "Even though we didn't have more of the ball there is still a feeling that we could have won the game.

"It is a strange feeling. I'm not saying we were the better side, but we could have won the game. We must work more on attack."

The Bok coach, however, also praised his side.

"The guys showed a lot of courage out there. We did well in the tight phases and first phases, but didn't use the ball correctly. It is an aspect of our game that we have to pay attention to. Overall I felt it's another step up for us," said Viljoen.

"A win and a draw against Australia, who I believe are still the best side in the world, will give us confidence. I know we have a lot of work to do, but we're building towards something special."

Meanwhile, Bok captain Bob Skinstad has also praised the team for their courage on defence.

"There was just blood and guts and hearts on the line every time they came at us," said Skinstad. "It's an absolute honour to be part of this side."
