Cardiff snap up Sullivan

Cardiff have snapped up the services of rugby league star Anthony Sullivan.

Anthony Sullivan returns to the club from Super League side St Helens on a two-year contract after an original spell during the 1998-99 season.

During that time he scored 6 tries in 8 games and also played 4 times for Wales A against Argentina, Scotland, Ireland and France.

Semi Sititi will also arrive in Cardiff today. He is the current captain of Samoa with 13 Test caps to his name. He has also played Super 12 rugby for Wellington Hurricanes last year and 4 times for Samoa in the Hong Kong 7's since 1995.

Chief Executive, Robert Norster said,

"We are delighted to welcome these experienced players to complement our young squad. Anthony made a big impression whilst he was here three years ago and he always said that one day he would like to play Rugby Union again. Now that he is with us full time, we feel that both he and the Club will benefit greatly.

"Semo is a very experienced player who has captained his national team succesfully. With Dan Baugh, Emyr Lewis and Martyn Williams all side lined for varying amounts of time, he fills a big gap in the back row. With Dan initially unavailable for Europe, Semo will be registered as our second overseas player."

Anthony Sullivan trained with Cardiff this morning and Semo Sititi starts training on Monday.
