One last hurrah for Dominguez
September 6, 2001

Flyhalf Diego Dominguez has agreed to extend his international career with Italy by another season.

The 35-year-old Argentinian-born pivot will make himself available not only for the Six Nations tournament, but also November's home internationals against Fiji, South Africa and Samoa.

Dominguez, who plays for French outfit Stade Francais, will attend next week's get-together of the Italian national team under New Zealand coach Brad Johnstone, who recently extended his
contract and will be for the first time assisted by another distinguished former All Black in John Kirwan.

Prolific points-scorer Dominguez originally retired after Italy's inaugural Six Nations tournament in 1999-2000, but returned last season, although only for Six Nations matches. - Sapa
