Tiatia confirms he's off to Japan

Former All Black Filo Tiatia has confirmed that he will leave Wellington at the end of the year to join Japanese club Toyota in Nagoya.

The 30-year-old loose forward, who has played for Wellington since 1992, says he has reached the point where knows it is time to move on.

He says there are some great young players coming through the ranks and it is an ideal time for someone else to put their hand up for the job.

Tiatia has played 77 games for Wellington and 56 games for the Hurricanes. He was selected for the All Blacks in 2000 and played two tests, scoring a try in each match.
