Bridgend crash to Castres
October 6, 2001

A second half fightback was not enough to prevent Bridgend slipping to a 35-23 loss to Castres in Heineken Cup Pool Four which effectively ends their hopes of progressing in the competition.

The French outfit took control before the interval, and led Dennis John's team 30-6.

But the Welsh side hit back after the interval. Their tries were scored by Tongan flanker Maama Molitika and Chris Stephens, with Adrian Durston converting both and also posting three penalties for a personal tally of 13 points.

After last weekend's defeat to Harlequins, Bridgend are bottom of their group.
