Northland crush Southland

Northland crushed Southland 48-12 in their latest NPC clash in Whangarei.

The home side outscored their visitors by five tries to one, with their scores coming from Fero Lasagavibau, Ben Meyer, Rupeni Caucaunibuca (2) and James Alridge.

Arlidge also added four conversion and a penalty to see Northland go into the break 36-5 to the good.

Arlidge nothced his second try after the break and this was followed by a five pointer from Brad Miller, converted by Arlidge, to extend their advantage.

Southland grabbed two consolation scores through Des Tuiavi'i and Keith Cameron, one of which was converted by Earl Va'a.
