Fiji beat French Barbarians

Fiji has bounced back from its 66-10 thrashing at the hands of Italy to beat the French Barbarians 17-15 in wet conditions as it prepares for the weekend's clash with a resurgent France.
Both teams scored two tries, but the Barbarians could have won the match when Yann Delaigue missed a penalty from in front of the posts late in the encounter.

It took Fiji until 11 minutes into the second half to claim the lead for the first time through centre Emori Tuisese's try, which was converted by fly-half Nicky Little.

But the home side stayed in touch when French international prop Sylvain Marconnet bullocked his way over after a line-out shortly after, but David Skrela failed to convert it.

Early in the match Skrela scored the opening penalty to put his team ahead 3-0, before going 10-0 in front through a try to loose forward Christophe Milheres that was converted by Skrela.

Fiji had its share of the ball as it strived to fight back, and some hard work was rewarded just before half-time when winger Fero Lasagavibau offloaded to fullback Waisale Serevi who goose-stepped past the defence to cross the line in the corner and touch down under the posts and Little converted to tie the scores at 10-10.
