Munster secure Celtic League Final spot
December 8, 2001

Munster have secured a date with Leinster in next weekend's Celtic League Cup Final with a 15-9 victory over Ulster.

Fly-half Ronan O'Gara kicked Munster to a tight victory that sets up the Lansdowne Road finale.

A below par Munster managed to deny Ulster any decent chances. David Humphreys kicked three straightforward penalties for Ulster, but was short with two long range efforts near halfway.

Ulster's Paul Shields was sin-binned early in the second-half for stamping, but, others, from both sides, were lucky not to join him there in what was at times an ill-tempered contest.
