Ulster loan Sexton to Munster

Ulster have agreed to loan their hooker Matt Sexton to Munster as they look to strengthen their squad for the knock-out stages of the Heineken Cup.

Kiwi Sexton, 30, who only joined Ulster at the end of last year, is one of three extra players registered by Munster, the others scrum-half Tom Tierney and Shannon utility back John Lacey.

Ulster agreed to the move after they failed to qualify for the latter stages of Europe's premier club rugby competition. Sexton will retunr to them next season.

Ireland's other qualifiers for the quarter-finals, Leinster, have added Terenure fly-half Richard Governey, UCD skipper Shane Moore and St Mary's hooker Peter Smyth to their squad.
