Serevi to coach Fiji 7s squad

Fiji star Waisele Serevi will coach the country's Sevens side in the upcoming IRB World Sevens tournaments in Brisbane and Wellington, the Fiji Rugby Union said on Friday.

Current coach Alifereti Cawanibuka was not available due to work commitments.

The union said he would help with the side while it was in camp in Fiji, but while it was in Australia and New Zealand, Serevi would be the player-coach.

A 12-member team has been named and among those absent is Super 12 star Marika Vunibaka, on suspension following a brawl in the Chile leg of the series.

The Brisbane Sevens is on February 2-3 and the Wellington tournament on February 8-9.
