Trio ruled out for Ireland
January 28, 2002

Ireland have suffered the triple blow of losing skipper Keuth Wood, Malcolm O'Kelly and Shane Horgan for their opening Six Nations clash with Wales on Sunday.

Wood has failed to recover from a groin injury, O'Kelly has a damaged eye socket and cheekbone and Horgan was forced to retire at half-time in Leinster's clash with Leicester last weekend.

Shane Byrne has been promoted from the 'A' squad to replace Wood and Rob Henderson has been called into the senior squad.
