Depleted Sharks tackle Quins

The Sharks will be severely depleted when they take on English Premiership club Harlequins in London on Tuesday night.

Due to injury scrumhalves Chad Alcock and Craig Davidson, lock AJ Venter and center Clyde Rathbone were not considered, whilst Mark Andrews, Trevor Halstead, Deon Kayser, Herkie Kruger, Andre-Henri le Roux, Warren Britz, Justin Swart and Etienne Fynn will be rested.

The Sharks beat the Cats 38-25 at Ellis Park on Friday night. The match at The Stoop is eagerly anticipated by Mark Evans, Harlequin FC Chief
Executive.

Mike Scott, the team manager for the Harlequins had this to say about the game: "The Sharks are unarguably one of the best rugby sides in the world. This game gives our team a fantastic opportunity to play the runners up in last year's Super 12's competition, the pinnacle of southern hemisphere rugby."

Regardless of the fact that a few of the big names won't be playing for the Sharks, captain Garrick Morgan, said: "All the players are excited
to be playing the Sharks - and equally excited about playing the return match in Durban next year! This match will be a test of our abilities and an opportunity for all our players to show what they can do against one of the best Super 12 teams."
