More misery for Welsh fans
February 4, 2002

A nightmare weekend for those Wales fans that witnessed their opening 54-10 drubbing in Dublin on Sunday is set to continue as as ferries are cancelled because of the weather.

Torrential rain and high speed winds have battered the United Kingdom and many fans hoping to return home today will find that three of the five Irish Ferries sailings to Holyhead have been cancelled.

Fans due to travel on the company's Dublin Swift fast-ferry service to Holyhead face the possibility of long delays as it goes about accommodating passengers on its twice-daily cruise ferry crossings.

Even those who are lucky enough to board their ferries on time will be in for a rough ride, with winds gusting up to 35mph over the Irish Sea.
