Deakin returns to Sarries

Saracens have once again enlisted the services of Peter Deakin to fill the chief executive's post vacated by Francois Pienaar despite his battle against cancer.

During his first spell at the club, he masterminded Saracens' arrival as a European power when professional rugby started in 1996.

He was diagnosed with a brain tumour last year but is making great progress and has accepted owner Nigel Wray's offer to return as chief executive at the struggling Premiership club. South African
