Luger returns for Quins
March 28, 2002

England wing Dan Luger has regained his Harlequins first-team place for Sunday's Zurich Premiership clash at Bristol.

Luger, scorer of 19 tries in 26 Tests, was dropped for the league victory over Newcastle last time out.

Despite collecting two touchdowns when England beat Lloyds TSB Six Nations opponents Wales five days ago, Luger then found himself on Quins' second XV duty against The Army.

He also collected two tries in that game, which was played at Quins' Aldershot training base this week, and has now been recalled by coach Mark Evans - replacing Matt Moore on the left wing.

"Dan is a world-class player," said Evans.

"Both last Saturday for England, and in training this week, it has been good to see his confidence and form return."

Evans has made two other changes as bottom club Quins embark on the first of three successive away games which could decide their Premiership fate.

Nick Greenstock partners England centre Will Greenwood in midfield, taking over from Chris Bell who is on England Under-19s duty at the FIRA World Championship in Italy.

Up front, Ace Tiatia switches from hooker to flanker - deputising for Tu Tamarua who dislocated his shoulder during the Newcastle win.

Captain Keith Wood makes a second comeback appearance after recovering from a calf muscle injury which has sidelined him for three months.
