Redpath stays with Sale

Bryan Redpath, linked with a move to Zurich Premiership champions Leicester, has decided to stay with Sale for at least another two years.

Leicester had targeted the Scotland scrum-half as their first major signing after retaining the Premiership crown last weekend for a fourth successive season.

But Sale coach Jim Mallinder said he was delighted Redpath, the outstanding scrum-half of the Six Nations, had chosen to stay with the club.

"He has forged a great half-back partnership with Charlie Hodgson and has struck up a great personal relationship with our England full-back Jason Robinson," said Mallinder. Bryan is keen to be part of Sale's future."
