Todd and Volley banned
April 17, 2002

Gloucester centre Robert Todd and Wasps flanker Paul Volley have both been banned for 14 days after being sent off for brawling.

Todd, who did not play for his club in last weekend's round of league games, is banned until April 25, which means the New Zealander will miss Gloucester's clash at Bristol next Sunday, but can feature against Parker Pen European Shield semi-final opponents Sale a week later.

Volley, on Premiership duty when Wasps beat Saracens two days ago, faces a fortnight off from Tuesday. But he also only misses one fixture - Wasps' rearranged league appointment with Harlequins on April 26.

Referee Ashley Rowden showed both players the red card after their punch-up in the 28th-minute of Wasps' 44-9 Zurich Premiership win over Gloucester at Loftus Road.
