Leinster have announced that former Ireland lock and current Dungannon coach Willie Anderson will become the side's new assistant coach.

Anderson, who has also coached London Irish, has signed a three-year contract to act as Matt Williams' assistant.

Mick Dawson, Leinster Chief Executive, commented, "We are delighted to secure the valued services of Willie Anderson as Assistant Coach.

"Willie has already made a tremendous contribution to the development of our senior squad and we are confident that he and Matt Williams can take further strides in maintaining Leinster as a force in European and Irish rugby."

Anderson, who took Dungannon to their first ever All Ireland League title in 2001, will replace Alan Gaffney who has moved to take the reins at rivals Munster.
