The Rugby Football Union have confirmed England will play two games on their tour of Argentina next month.

Clive Woodward's squad will leave for South America on June 10, tackling Argentina A seven days later before facing Argentina at Buenos Aires' Velez Sarsfield Stadium on June 22.

The Test match will kick off at 3.40pm local time (7.40pm BST).

Both the venue and kick-off for the Argentina A clash has yet to be confirmed, but that game is also destined for Buenos Aires.

England have met the Pumas on 10 occasions, winning seven times, losing twice and drawing once.

Both defeats came in Argentina, losing 15-13 in 1990, and 33-13 seven years later when England were severely depleted because their trip coincided with the Lions tour of South Africa.

Woodward intends announcing his tour squad on May 28, when Gloucester prop Phil Vickery is set to skipper a party minus several of last summer's English Lions in Australia, who have all been given a summer off.
