Italy draw with NZ Divisional XV

Italy have drawn their latest tour match 35-35 in New Zealand againts a Divisional XV.

The Divisional side tied the scores in Taupo with a late try from Tim Manawatu and Manu Flutey missed a difficult conversion that would have won them the game.

Walter Pozzebon scored the opening try for the tourists and fullback Gert Peens notched their second.

Ricky Flutey got the home side on the board with a penalty but Peens returned the favour on the hour mark and just before the break Sam Leung-Wai went in at the corner.

Peens added three more shortly after half-time, but the Divsional XV responded with a try from Kele Leawere.

Francesco Mazzariol scored the third try for the Italians biut again their opponents bounced back with a ty from Pili Fifita.

Further scores came from Christian Zanoletti for the tourists and Daniel Alofa for their hosts before the injury time leveller.

Italy take on the All Blacks in Hamilton next weekend.
