Sale sign Aussie speedster Bond

Australian international Graeme Bond today agreed a two-year contract with European Shield winners Sale.

Bond, 28, whose move will be completed subject to him passing a medical, has won five caps, but is currently out of contract with Super 12 finalists the ACT Brumbies and out of favour with Wallabies coach Eddie Jones.

Bond's anticipated arrival at Heywood Road will further strengthen a Sale back division that was easily the most exciting unit operating in last season's Zurich Premiership.

Sale also announced today that promising centre prospect Mel Deane has signed a two-year contract extension.
