Boks give Samoa a World Cup taster

Samoa got a taste of what awaits them in the World Cup with a comprehensive drubbing at the hands of South Africa in Pretoria.

They will be facing both the Boks and England in Australia and, after seeing eight tries go against them in a 60-18 defeat, they can reckon on there being a lot more where they came from.

The Springboks, in their final preparation for the Tri Nations, sparkled best in two 10-minute periods, one in each half. The first yielded two tries, from lock Victor Matfield and De Wet Barry, and after the break Dean Hall scored a double, with flanker Joe van Niekerk completing the South African scoring.Andre Pretorius kicked 20 points for South Africa.

Henry Tuilagi capped a fine performance with a late consolation try.
