Quins must wait for Vos

Zurich Premiership strugglers Harlequins must wait at least another month for the services of big name signing Andre Vos.

Vos was signed in the summer by the Twickenham based club but he will not join up with his new side until his South African provincial side, the Lions, have completed their Currie Cup campaign.

On Saturday they qualified for the Top Eight phase of South Africa's top tournament with a 47-37 win over Natal Sharks which means Quins, who have lost their opening three Premiership games, will have to wait until at least mid-October.

Quins latest defeat was a 33-23 reverse at the hands of last year's strugglers Leeds Tykes.

Chief executive and coach Mark Evans admitted, "The fans are right to be unhappy with our results.

"We've now lost three games, so it would be stupid to say everything will be fine. We did exactly the same thing last year, and that was unacceptable. We made too many errors."
