Tindall signs new Bath deal

Bath Rugby are delighted to announce that England International Mike Tindall has signed a new contract which will keep the centre at the Recreation Ground until the end of the 2004/05 season.

Mike, 23, who scored a try against the Tigers at Welford Road at the weekend, is recognised as one of English rugby's most talented midfield players and is a key member of the Bath Rugby squad.

He has won 18 caps for England since making his International debut during the 2000 Six Nations Championship, and has been selected as a member of the England training squad in preparation for the forthcoming autumn international series.

Mike said today, "I am very happy to be extending my stay with Bath Rugby. This is a great club and there is a real belief within the squad that we are heading in the right direction. I am looking forward to continuing my involvement."

Bath Rugby Coach Mike Foley today said that he was delighted that Mike's has renewed his commitment to Bath Rugby.

"With the amount of progress that the team is currently making, we are extremely pleased to be signing Mike Tindall, who is at the heart of that progress, on a longer contract."

"Mike not only provides great inspiration with the way that he plays the game, but will almost certainly be a leadership figure in the future."

Bath Rugby take on GR.A.N Rugby Parma in round one, leg one of the Parker Pen Challenge Cup in Italy on Friday night. Kick off in Parma is at 7pm.
