Rogers struggling
November 6, 2002

The Wallabies' injury concerns continue to grow with Mat Rogers now doubtful for the Test against England at Twickenham on November 16.

Rogers is already out of Saturday's Test against Ireland in Dublin due to a rib cartilage injury suffered against Argentina and his chances of impressing against England are looking slim.

After missing the Buenos Aires Test, Waratahs backrower David Lyons is also battling a hip injury and could be joining Rogers on the sideline this Saturday.

But it wasn't all bad news for coach Eddie Jones with centre Matt Burke running for the first time after corking his thigh against Argentina. Burke is likely to replace Rogers at fullback, but if he fails a fitness Test then Stephen Larkham is likely to drop back to fullback with Elton Flatley coming on at 10.

Flanker Owen Finegan is also expected to be fit for selection after missing last Saturday's Test due to an ankle injury.
