Celtic draw boosts Welsh chances
November 11, 2002

The prospect of a Welsh side reaching the Celtic League final has improved with the news that the winners of the Pontypridd v Neath quarter-final clash will be at home in the semi-finals.

Last season's final was an all-Irish affair but, with at least one Welsh side guaranteed a place in the final four, the chances of a repeat have diminished.

Pontypridd or Neath will be at home to Edinburgh Rugby or Cardiff, while
Munster or Connacht will have home advantage over the winners of the
quarter-final match-up between Glasgow Rugby and Ulster.

The semi-finals will be played on January 3 or 4 2003.
