February 11, 2003

Saracens have been dealt a huge blow with th enews that centre Kevin Sorrell has fractured his skull.

Sorrellwas led from the pitch on Saturday afternoon after suffering a heavy collision during a Zurich Premiership match against Northampton Saints.

He collided with Saints flanker Andrew Blowers as he was about to tackle Abdel Benazzi and after regaining his feet he was taken from the field clutching his face.

Initial results show fractures to the skull which will keep Saracens' vice captain side lined for up to 10
weeks with the decision on whether he needs an operation to be made later on this week after further tests.

This is a double blow for Kevin as it means his hopes of breaking into the England A team for the first time
have now been dashed.
