O'Driscoll joins adidas boot club
February 11, 2003

Ireland captain Brian O'Driscoll will be getting his 2003 RBS 6 Nations campaign off to a flying start at Murrayfield on Sunday with some new tailor-made boots.

The Leinster, Ireland and Lions centre today signed a major sponsorship deal with adidas, which will see him wear their boots until at least the end of 2005.

And part of the deal means those trailing in his wake will get another reminder of who they were trying to catch as O'Driscoll's number 13 will be stitched into the heels of the new lightweight boots which have been road-tested for the last 18 months by the New Zealand All Blacks.

O'Driscoll joins a stable of stars such as Jonah Lomu, Jonny Wilkinson and Martin Johnson wearing adidas boot.
