Twickenham fans face security checks
February 14, 2003

The Rugby Football Union has announced that as part of an on-going review of its security procedures that spectators attending tomorrow's RBS 6 Nations match between England & France are liable to be searched on arrival at the stadium.

Stadium Director Richard Knight said "We believe that this is a sensible precaution. Our security on a match day is very thorough but we have decided to increase the number of personal searches to help reassure visitors to the ground on the day. To assist us with this process we would like to encourage spectators to arrive at the ground at least 45 minutes before kick off."
