Bayfield to jump off Twickenham!

Former England star Martin Bayfield is set to jump off the top of Twickenham Stadium on Sunday 16 March to help raise money for Cancer Research UK.

Zurich, sponsor of the Premiership, are supporting the abseil jump by the former Northampton Saints, England and Lions lock.

Last year 1,139 people abseiled off Twickenham to break the World Record for the greatest number of people abseiling in one day, and this year over 1,400 are needed to break the record once again and raise over £200,000 for research into cancer.

A former policeman, Martin Bayfield at 6'10" is the tallest man to represent his country at rugby. Martin
won 31 Test caps for England and is now an accomplised after-dinner speaker.

Martin said "I am delighted to be supporting this fantastic event, which we hope will raise £200,000 for
Cancer Research UK. This really is a great opportunity to see Twickenham Rugby Stadium from a new angle, as well as doing something unique for a good cause."

Places to join Martin in the World Record abseil attempt at Twickenham are still available and Cancer
Research UK will be accepting registrations up until midday on Friday 14 March.
