Brumbies send Tonga packing

The ACT Brumbies proved too strong for Tonga in their latest tour match and saw off the tourists 25-13 at Canberra Stadium.

Brumbies wing Mark Bartholomeusz broke the deadlock with two tries within ight minutes on the half hour, one of which were converted by Sam Norton-Knight.

The visitors responded with a penalty from Pierre Hola leaving the Brumbies 12-3 up at the break.

The scoring continued in the second half with both sides grabbing two tries a piece.

Departing lock forward Justin Harrison received the biggest cheer of the afternoon scoring his first try at home for the Brumbies in his last game after signing for New South Wales for next season.

He bowed out with for the Brumbies by stepping up to kick an injury time penalty to seal the win.
