Pacific Islanders squad announced
June 15, 2004

Despite a number of unavailabilities the Pacific Islanders have named a strong squad for their three games against New Zealand, Australia and South Africa next month.

The selection panel of John Boe (Convenor), Wayne Pivac (Fiji), Michael Jones (Samoa) and Viliame Ofahengaue (Tonga) claim to be pleased with their inaugural squad.

"It has been a long and difficult task but all selectors agree that these are the best islander players available," stated a press release.

"We now look forward to the biggest challenge to ever face Pacific Islands rugby. We are all determined to play our style of exciting rugby and to make our people proud of their new team," added the statement
