Watson to referee record seventh final
October 18, 2004

Andre Watson will become the first-ever official to referee seven Currie Cup finals when he takes charge of the clash between the Blue Bulls and the Cheetahs on Saturday.
Currently Watson is level with Steve Strydom on six Final appearances.

SA Rugby today confirmed all the appointments for this weekend, which also features the Currie Cup First Division Final, the Under-20 A and B section Finals, Women's Inter-Provincial A and B Finals and the Provincial Amateur Final.

Watson, who is regarded as one of the top referees in the world and earlier this year announced his retirement from international rugby, will be supported on Saturday by Jonathan Kaplan and Shaun Veldsman.
