Kanaar poised for comeback against Bulls
May 19, 2005

Rugged Waratah lock Alex Kanaar is set to make a surprise comeback on the bench against the Bulls in Saturday's Tooheys New Super 12 semi final at Aussie Stadium on Saturday.

Kanaar started against the Bulls in their round five clash at Aussie Stadium but was sidelined last week with a foot injury.

"We'll have to see how he goes over the next two days but it's a pretty remarkable turnaround," said head coach Ewen McKenzie.

"He's had limited preparation but considering how well he went against the Bulls after just one run-on appearance we think it's important to give him every chance to play."

Will Caldwell who was on the bench last week has been bracketed with Kanaar while Brendan Cannon is the only other change in the front row replacing Adam Freier as starting hooker.
