Warriors recruit winger

Glasgow Warriors today confirmed that they are recruiting Scottish qualified winger Eddie McLaughlin on a three month trial contract.

New Zealand born McLaughlin joins from the Canberra Vikings having also been attached to the ACT Brumbies. He qualifies for Scotland through paternal grandparents from Greenock and was a prolific try scorer with the Vikings and also voted most valuable back of the season.

When McLaughlin is not required by Glasgow he will play for Premiership one club side Ayr.

Glasgow Warriors' head coach Hugh Campbell said: "We're delighted to welcome a player of Eddie's calibre to Hughenden. His try scoring record for his previous clubs speaks for itself and we hope that he'll be able to continue that form while on trial with us here at Glasgow."
