The Rugby Football Union for Women has announced the appointments of three new directors to its Board.

Vicky Muir, Martyn Worsley and Janice Anastasi will now join Gill Burns (President), Deborah Griffin, Phil Nunnerley, Sue Eakers, Alun Thomas, Kean Clifford, Caroline Lambert and Kay Brooker on the Board of Directors.

Vicky Muir, 29, is a Quality Control Manager. She has played for Sale, Altrincham Kersal (where she co-founded the women's team) and Manchester University. She also founded the Cheshire Senior Women's XV.

Martyn Worsley, 32, works for the Bank of New York as European Head of Learning and Development. He has previously played rugby for Hereford, Moseley and the University of Southampton. He has also coached the RFUW Academy.

Janice Anastasi, 51, is a Senior Manager of Policy and Public Affairs for the Surrey County Council. She is also the Regional Welfare Officer for the South East.

Rosie Williams, Managing Director of the RFUW, said: "The RFUW is delighted with the appointment of our three new Board Directors. Each of these people have specific skills that will help the RFUW enormously as we continue to strive forward.

"Martin has a wealth of experience in the integration of organisations, Janice is an expert in the field of welfare and child protection and Vicky has enormous experience at grassroots and county based rugby."

RFUW Chairman Deborah Griffin added: "Over the past five years, the RFUW Board of Directors has gone from strength to strength, but it is vitally important that we continue to have people who can bring professional experience to the Board, whilst at the same time very much keeping in touch with what's happening in all aspects of the game."
