Dunning and Ma'afu suspended
July 19, 2007

The NSW Rugby Judiciary has suspended Warringah's Salesi Ma'afu for 8 weeks and Eastwood's Joshua Dunning for 5 weeks after both pleaded guilty to striking charges.

The pair appeared before the Judiciary on Thursday night for a four hour hearing which resumed after an adjournment last week.

Both were charged with striking/punching following an incident during the Warringah v Eastwood Tooheys New Shute Shield fixture on Sunday 8th July 2007.

The Judiciary found that both players contributed in different ways to the incident that was prolonged.

The Judiciary stated that it found the incident a totally unacceptable display of foul play.
