It's all in the wrapping at Saracens this festive season with some players looking to reveal a lot more on December 30 when they take on Jonny Wilkinson's Newcastle Falcons in the Guinness Premiership at Vicarage Road.

England and Saracens back Dan Scarbrough, Fijian flyer Kameli Ratuvou and loose forward David Seymour have all stripped down to just a sheet of Christmas wrapping paper for a unique promotional photo shoot ahead of the Newcastle clash.

Under studio lights and away from their team-mates at the training ground, the players shot some strong, 'shirt's off' images to match up with slogans such as Unwrapped this Christmas, Beef not Turkey, and Rack of Ribs.

With the shoot aiming to add to the hype and interest in one of the biggest games of the season, David Seymour, a crowd favourite at Vicarage Road and England Sevens player, was more than happy to get involved and reveal 'almost' all this Christmas.

"It was certainly an interesting one," confessed Seymour, "it's the first time I've done something like this, who knows it could be the last - time well tell, but the shoot was a laugh and the results were pretty good.

"Obviously all the boys at the training ground have seen the pictures and there's been a fair bit of banter but that will pass soon enough. In the end I was just happy to help out."

Saracens CEO Mark Sinderberry said the idea was to have a bit of fun, but also look to attract a broader range of people to come and see the team play at Vicarage Road.

"On the field it's been a fantastic start to the season for the team, while off the field it's pretty clear from the photos that the guys have been working hard in the gym as well," said Sinderberry.

"The Christmas match is always a great occasion and this year there's even more to celebrate with the team performing so well, and Jonny Wilkinson likely to be playing for the Newcastle Falcons."

"As for the photos and slogans, it's all a bit of fun really, and hopefully it will entice some new followers to Vicarage Road on Sunday 30 December to see the team in action."
