The attacking duo of Kabamba Floors (Cheetahs) and Danwel Demas (Bulls) have been recalled to the Springbok Sevens squad for the remainder of the IRB World Series.

The players will join up with the rest of the squad at Stellenbosch where the group is preparing for the last two tournaments of the Series in England (London, May 24/25) and Scotland (Edinburgh, May 31/June 1).

Mzwandile Stick underwent an operation on Sunday to repair the damages he sustained at the Adelaide tournament and the early indications are that he will be out of action for at least four months.

The squad will also have to make do without two of its most promising youngsters. Robert Ebersohn, who starred in the Adelaide Cup Final against Newland, and Wilton Pietersen are both earmarked to play for the SA Under-20 team at the IRB U20 World Championships in Wales.

Treu has again invited two uncapped youngsters to attend the training at the University of Stellenbosch, Marvin Christians (Western Province) and Earl Lewis (Boland Cavaliers).

The team's final preparation is the warm-up tournament in Amsterdam which takes place over the weekend of May 17-18, from where they will travel to London.

South Africa won the Australian title for the first time on 6 April after defeating arch-rivals New Zealand at the Adelaide Oval. It was the third consecutive time that the two teams have met in a Series Cup Final.

New Zealand is currently heading the log with 126 points, 34 points ahead of second placed South Africa.
